OK... I just 2 days I saw some of the greatest big time shots I've ever seen in basketball!! I know this is " DA " but I gotta put this out there to see how many of you " arteest " keep up with this stuff. So who is the better at this stage in their careers? Lebron or Kobe?.......

the career's of both high school straight to the NBA players is a tough call.... Kobe has had Shaw at his prime and now has a bunch of really strong role players around him like Jordan did, and both didn't go anywhere alone. Lebron gets triple doubles and has gone pretty far with his team alone. Only time will tell who will end their career with more to show for it.....

Goin with LeBron on this. Kobe is still pretty damn good, but LeBron is just ridiculous. He did more this season (team-win wise) with less talented players. He's just a freak of nature -- the size & speed he has combined with his skill is unparalleled. And he's only 24?!

I'm a Magic fan but for this topic I'd choose Bron over Kobe as player - not including the rings. You can't really judge til Bron's career is complete though, but right now I'd choose Bron because his skill set is versatile & he's proven since his first game in the "L" he's the real deal. I admit I'm not the biggest Kobe fan, he's a great player but it's always bugged me that he always wanted to be Jordan in almost every way. (That cockiness rubbed me the wrong way. I think if the Hornets never traded him to LA/Hollywood I'd be more of a fan). Plus after Shaq was traded to Miami Kobe had basically the same cast Wade had the yr before & couldn't do much with them unlike Wade who helped the Heat get to the 2nd round.

Anyways like I said I'd choose Bron. He is a physical specimen but combining that with his skill set is unbelievable, especially his passing ability. He reminds me of a combination of Penny & Grant Hill(damn the injuries) skill set wise in a Karl Malone body. Just imagine if he was able to pull off a triple double for 1 season.

Side note - How come nothing was done or said about that punk move by Mo Williams throwing the ball at Howard during game 2?!?! WTF?!?! Don't league officials watch tape of games afterward to review missed calls? Mo I like you but lately you come been coming off real high on yourself man & that was a punk move throwing the ball at Howard!! Maybe it was karma you eye got popped in game 3, just saying

BOOOO!!!!! That is, quite possibly, the most over-rated shot in the history of basketball. You might think Im saying it because Orlando is my team. I promise you thats not the case. It was a damn good shot but its significance was nominal. It didnt win the series and it didnt advance them. If ANY ONE on that court had made the same exact game winning shot you know that people wouldnt be making such a big deal about it. Big Baby made a game winner against us in the last series. He got some shout-outs and thats about it. There were two other buzzer-beater winners against us in this play-offs as well. Im no Lebron hater. The guy is amazing, more than amazing. He may end up being the greatest to every play the game. Maybe not. Im just saying that, because he is who he is, every single thing he does gets exaggerated in the media. When Orlando beats them for the series everyone will say we got lucky and Lebron just didnt have the help he needed. Jordan got the same treatment back in the day. Goes with the territory I guess.

But I digress. Great shot? Absolutely. It was as great as a dozen other buzzer-beater-game winners Ive seen this season. As for the Kobe/Lebron question, for me its Kobe all the way. Lebron still has a lot to live up to. And Im sure he will!

I must say I am impressed by this vast knowledge of the game... BUT when Lebron's career is all said and done he just maybe the best player EVER! And coming from a die hard JORDAN fan that's saying a lot...

Remember when everyone was saying Penny Hardaway was going to be the next Jordan? Lol!! Im not comparing Lebron to Penny, BTW. Lebron's a lock for the Hall of Fame at the very least. The Kobe/Lebron question is a lot more complex than meets the eye. Is the question asking who is better at the moment? Over all? You cant answer the over all question because Lebron has a LONG way to go before his career is in the books. At the moment? Youre talking about athleticism versus savy and basketball I.Q. Kobe is, by far, the smarter player....as well he should be having so much more experience. Sometimes, many times, brains beats out braun. I usually take the smarter player over the stronger player.

I would have to go with Lebron as the guy I'd want on my team. I do think Kobe and Lebron are in a league of their own, yet D.Wade for some reason keeps getting moved up to their category. :D
